The greatest of great rooms in scale and sophistication is right at home in Project Newport Waterfront. The vast, open floorpan called for creativity to thoughtfully fill the space while keeping seating arrangements intimate. A double sectional layout on one end of the room provides a casual and cozy place to unwind, watch TV and take in the views. Four tufted leather chairs offer a more formal sitting area to catch up with guests and, again, take in the views! Large (and incredibly soft) area rugs anchor each of the furniture arrangements to stand alone while the fabrics and finishes complement each other in the shared space. A full bar and wine wall add more interest to the room with a mix of textures, finishes and styles. Bohemian beaded light fixtures above the streamlined countertop finished with metallic tiles and velvet swivel barstools are a testimony to the fun we had in this design process. We weren’t the only ones taking full advantage of the coolness our clients desired — Infinity Aquariums created a 1,200-gallon salt water tank complete with a custom, handmade coral reef and a Tesla battery back up. We think “great” may be an understatement for this room, but have a look for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments below!
