THE SPREAD
Project Santa Ynez is actually the home of builder Andrew Patterson and his beautiful family (pictured in the magazine). If you follow our journey on Instagram, you'll notice we work with Patterson Custom Homes on several of our client homes in Newport Beach, so our teams have racked up years of experience collaborating together. Getting the opportunity to work with Andrew on his personal home outside of our usual territory brought a whole new level of creativity, passion and adventure to this design and build process.
The architect, Chris Brandon of Brandon Architects, is a great friend of Andrew's and another local colleague of ours. His expertise in custom home design and vision for Andrew's property set the stage for an extraordinary build, inside and out. Wendy Blackband and Rachel Azzolina of our Blackband Design team jumped right in to join the guys' passion for this project and completed the home with earthy materials, laidback furnishings and personal style for the Patterson family's ideal oasis.
From the home’s contemporary design full of natural textures to its views of open skies and rolling hills scenery, this countryside retreat is as dreamy as it gets and this article (online and shown below) portrays it all perfectly!!
